This architecture was built by local workers in 3 months and designed by Vietnamese architect Vo Trong Nghia in 2008. The bar was made mostly from bamboo with distinct architectural style. It is set on a flooded area of land that creates an incredible reflection in the water. The green plants are arranged ingeniously inside the coffee shop, making a fresh and natural atmosphere. As the name suggested, coming to this bar, customers might enjoy delicious coffee, gentle winds, and also a sensation of floating over the water.

Not only having traditional kumquats, in recent 3 years, Tu Lien people also grow bonsai kumquat. Bonsai kumquat is quite small but its price is quite expensive. The bonsai kumquat is beautifully pruned which is suitable for small and pretty houses.



Tu Lien people said that kumquat in this year is more beautiful than the last year because of favourable climate, but its price will increase.







Kumquat garden of Mrs Minh Loan with over 500 trees starts to change its colour to yellow. She shared that she doesn’t afraid hot weather or cold weather, she is only afraid rain because heavy rain will rot its roots. Her garden only needs one more month to change to golden colour.

Pruning and shaping for kumquat trees will have to spend many times.


In this time, there are many customers to choose and book to prepare for Tet Holiday. According to Mrs Loan, kumquat’s price in this year is higher than the last year.


In recent years, areas to grown kumquat are always expended.


Le The Hung, kumquat grower in many years, said that although the weather is favourable, some kumquat gardens still have to wait for the third flowering time. Especially, the quality of pesticide is very important.



Besides traditional kumquat gardens, there are some bonsai kumquat gardens with attractive shapes of kumquat which are grown in pottery pots and have high price. In 3 recent years, more and more customers like the bonsai kumquats.

Pham Duy Tien, bonsai kumquat artist, said that to have bonsai kumquat pot, growers have to spend many times and efforts.

Besides, the most favourite bonsai kumquat is small kumquat tree and easy to transfer and suitable with small space of families.


Bonsai kumquat is small but its price is higher than traditional kumquat. Normally, a bonsai kumquat is 1- 5 million dong. Although the price is quite high, even to over 10 million dong, many customers still want to pay for it.

In Tu Lien kumquat village, there are 10 families growing bonsai kumquat to server Tet holiday.


Mr Manh said that customers go to choose and book more early than the last year because the time between New Year holiday and Tet Holiday is not long.
