Cha Tam Church, also known as Saint Francisco Javier Church, is the ancient church built in 1900 and completed in 1902. This church follows the Gothic style of the medieval Europe, which has many windows with the large size, but the cultural factors were still maintained such as Yin – Yang roof, triple gate, the church’s Chinese name.Cha Tam Church inside

In 1934, Cha Tam died and he was buried at the entrance of the church. Therefore, the church is often called Cha Tam Church (Father Tam).

This is the only church in Ho Chi Minh decorated with horizontal lacquered boards and parallel sentences inside, like Chinese temples.The church decorated with two parallel sentences in Chinese.
